YACHT CHARTER WITH SKIPPER

A yacht charter with a skipper is the ideal option if you do not have sailing experience and wish to enjoy a relaxing, safe, and stress-free journey. It is also suitable for those who hold a sailing license but do not yet feel confident enough to sail independently. An experienced skipper can help you improve your knowledge and fill any gaps in your sailing experience.

1. What should I know before chartering a yacht with a skipper?

☀️ First, it is important to understand the skipper’s responsibilities and duties:

• Operating and handling the yacht both at sea and in the marina.
• Ensuring the safety of the yacht and all passengers onboard.
• Monitoring weather conditions and making decisions regarding navigation, sailing routes, mooring locations, anchoring spots, and whether weather conditions allow departure from the marina.
• Avoiding navigation in unsafe or excessively rough sea conditions.
• Discussing the planned daily itinerary with guests.
• Managing refueling and freshwater replenishment when required, at the charterer’s expense.

☀️ It is equally important to understand your own responsibilities as a guest:

• You are responsible for any accidents or damage resulting from your own negligence, whether involving yourself or the yacht itself.
• You are required to inform us of any allergies (for example, bee stings or marine-related allergies). It is also highly recommended that your skipper is informed of any serious medical conditions. Please note that sailing yachts travel at moderate speeds, and the skipper is the primary person responsible for contacting emergency medical assistance if required.
• You are expected to discuss the sailing plan with your skipper and allow them to make final decisions regarding the route based on weather forecasts and geographical conditions.
• Occasionally, you may be asked to assist the skipper with simple tasks, such as dropping the anchor or handling a line at the dock. These tasks are generally easy and can even become an enjoyable part of the sailing experience.

2. What is included and not included in the charter price?

THE PRICE INCLUDES:

• Use of the yacht
• VAT
• Yacht insurance, passenger insurance, and marine pollution coverage
• Bed linen and towels for all guests
• Fully equipped kitchen with cooking utensils
• Full cooking gas cylinder
• Full freshwater tanks
• Dinghy
• Port fees for the base marina

Important:
The skipper’s fee is €150 per day, plus meals for the skipper, which are payable directly at the beginning of the charter.

A security deposit equal to 50% of the standard deposit amount is also required. This covers all non-navigational damages and will be refunded at the end of the charter after the yacht inspection has been completed.

• Transfers

• SUP (Stand-Up Paddleboard)
