BAREBOAT YACHT CHARTER

This type of charter is perfectly suited for experienced sailors. If you hold a valid sailing license, you can charter a yacht from our company and enjoy the freedom of organizing your journey according to your own preferences and sailing plans.

1. What should I know before chartering a bareboat yacht?

• The charterer is solely responsible for the operation, navigation, sailing, and mooring of the yacht. Bareboat charters do not include the services of a professional skipper.
• At least one member of the crew (the skipper) must hold a valid sailing license. In addition, at least one other crew member (the co-skipper) should have basic sailing experience.
• The sailing license must be issued in English or officially translated into Greek. We strongly recommend sending us a copy of your license via email before confirming your booking, so we can verify its suitability and avoid any inconvenience or unexpected issues at the departure marina.

2. How do Check-in and Check-out work for a bareboat charter?

Charter periods are normally scheduled on a Saturday-to-Saturday basis.

Check-in: 17:00
Check-out: 09:00

The charterer is required to return the yacht to its base marina on the day before check-out in order to allow time for inspection and, if necessary, any maintenance or repairs before the next charter begins.

Different embarkation and disembarkation dates may be arranged upon request, subject to availability and prior agreement before the charter begins.

CHECK-IN

• Check-in takes place with the base manager, the charterer, and the co-skipper upon arrival at the marina (17:00). During this process, the charterer will be informed of the yacht’s complete condition and inventory.
• The skipper and co-skipper will be asked to sign all required documents, including:
  • Charter Agreement
  • Crew List
  • Declaration of sailing experience for the co-skipper (if no sailing license is held)
• The base manager will provide information regarding the sailing area and weather conditions. Upon request, recommendations and local advice about destinations, anchorages, and dining options can also be provided.
• After completing check-in, the charterer will be required to pay the security deposit for the yacht, either in cash or by card (Visa / Mastercard). The deposit will be fully refunded after check-out, provided that no damage caused by the charterer has been identified.

CHECK-OUT

• The check-out process is similar to check-in, but in reverse. The skipper and co-skipper will present the yacht to the base manager for final inspection.
• Guests will also have the opportunity, if they wish, to share feedback and their experience with the yacht and charter service.

3. What is included and not included in the charter price?

THE PRICE INCLUDES:

• Yacht usage
• VAT
• Yacht insurance, passenger insurance, and marine pollution coverage
• Bed linen and towels for all crew members
• Fully equipped kitchen with cooking utensils
• Full cooking gas cylinder
• Full freshwater tanks
• Dinghy
• Port fees at the base marina
• 24-hour emergency assistance service

THE PRICE DOES NOT INCLUDE:

• Fuel and water consumption during the charter period
• Skipper services
• Hostess/crew services
• Mooring fees at ports other than the base marina
• Additional fuel and water refills during the charter
• Transfers
• Outboard engine
• SUP (Stand-Up Paddleboard)
• Wi-Fi
• Additional bed linen and towels
• Personal expenses

4. Emergency Assistance

Our base provides 24-hour support and assistance in case of emergency.
